Shayla and I are carving pumpkins! Yay, Halloween is the best holiday of them all!!!

Me with this year's batch. I carved nine pumpkins not counting the hands and shoes on the big guy. Only one pumpkin was left uncarved, and that's because I didn't have access to a copy machine.

This is the Great Pumpkin Man/Guy/Whatever. I use a red pepper for the tounge.

This is the one design this year that isn't my dad's. I suppose you could say it isn't mine either, since I didn't come up with him. The design is Tux the Linux mascot. Click on Tux for the legend of the wereTux. :-)

A close up of Rameses and two jack-o-lanterns. I helped my friend Linda carve pumpkins this year. She was so proud of being able to do the jack-o-lantern on the left. Incidentally, I carved him almost a week before the others. I love cold weather! It preserves the pumpkins so nicely!

Rameses, two jack-o-lanterns, tux the were-penguin, and a horse-head.

Two more jack-o-lanterns. They're about all I can handle after the big guys. Especially since I wasn't wearing my thimble on my left-index finger like I'm supposed to and managed to cut it again!

This isn't just dad's design, this is an authentic Cliff Cummings Carving. This picture and the next one are of pumpkins my family did this year.

My family's display this year. It's gotten a bit smaller since Michele and I left home, and since dad had to travel right up to Halloween, but the neighbors still bring their cameras when they come by for trick-or-treating. A couple years ago someone decided to steal one of my dad's neat-o pumpkins. Apparently the guy didn't realize we light them with Christmas lights. Judging from the long muddy strip in the front yard, broken pumpkin and christmas light, the guy ran for it and got jerked back, fell on his backside, and slid down our front yard. hahahahaha!!!
